Fragrance of a Rose, Strength of a Tiger: Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin Guides the Community Toward Love and Resilience

His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin addresses the Dawoodi Bohra community of Nagpur.

The 53rd leader of the worldwide Dawoodi Bohra community, His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, delivered a sermon at Badri Masjid in Itwari on January 4, 2024. While addressing thousands of community members who gathered from the Vidarbha region and other towns and cities in the country, Syedna Saifuddin stressed the importance of living a life of righteousness, gratitude and contentment.

He counselled community members to spread love and happiness in society by referring to the famous Japanese Rose Garden in Nagpur, and how the fragrance of roses has a calming effect on stress and depression while fostering hope and positivity in everyone.

He went on to highlight Nagpur’s role as the ‘Tiger Capital of India’ in connecting various tiger reserves in the country. Drawing parallels with the qualities of a tiger, Syedna guided community members to show strength, power and determination in facing challenges, while being humble and compassionate within. This dual nature, he mentioned, forms a balanced and resilient character.

Addressing the youth, Syedna cautioned against engaging in detrimental habits, urging the younger generation to adopt a healthy lifestyle for their physical and mental wellbeing.

Syedna arrived in Nagpur on 26th December 2023 after which he left for Amravati. During his visit to the Vidarbha region, Syedna met with community members in Murtizapur, Akola, Washim, Wardha, and Chandrapur. He visited their houses, enquired after their well-being and delivered sermons to guide them towards living fulfilling and productive lives.

Syedna returned to Nagpur on 30th December for a few days during which time he visited Burhani Masjid in the Sadar area and Hakimi Masjid in Shantinagar. He also inaugurated the newly built community kitchen at Tandapeth, visited the state-of-the-art MSB Educational Institute and inaugurated the Saifee Business Expo. During his stay in the city, Syedna interacted with Dawoodi Bohra members and also met with people from all walks of life.

Expressing his emotions on Syedna’s visit to the city, Najmuddin Fidvi, Secretary of the Dawoodi Bohra community in Nagpur said, “These past two weeks have been extremely eventful, filled with the enlightenment and joy of hosting Syedna in our region. We will cherish the memory of his visit and the teachings he shared with us for years to come.”
