Who We Are

he Dawoodi Bohras of Nottingham have lived and worked peacefully in the area since the early 1970s. The community centre (or markaz) where we congregate is called Husami Markaz and is located in Hucknall. It is the central meeting point of around 50 families from across Nottinghamshire.

We are a community that focuses on hard work and education. Many of our members run successful businesses, creating wealth and jobs for the local area.

Our @ProjectRiseDB volunteers in #Kampala continue to serve communities in #Nakawa Division, distributing essential food supplies and dry ration to families in need - doing their part to combat food insecurity.

A day of planting for a greener tomorrow!
Volunteers in #Adelaide joined Conservation Volunteers Australia at Athelstone Recreation Reserve, planting 1,750+ trees to restore local habitat & support a more sustainable future.
Every tree is a step towards a healthier environment.

In partnership with @OzHarvest and Fair Food, #DawoodiBohra communities across #Australia and #NewZealand are supporting individuals and families facing food insecurity. Through food drives, freshly prepared meals and volunteering, 3 tonnes of dry rations have been distributed.

The @ProjectRiseDB volunteers of the #Detroit community packed and delivered 200 snack packs to CARES in Farmington Hills. After the delivery, parents and children stayed on to help pack school supplies for students heading back to class this year.
