The Malindi Municipal Board Chairman, Mr Suleiman Omar, presented His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin with the key to the city of Malindi on April 30, 2026.

The Governor of Mombasa County His Excellency Abdulswamad Sheriff Nassir presented His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin with the key to the city of Mombasa on May 24, 2024.

The Honourable President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi presents His Holiness with ‘Nishan-e-Pakistan’, the country’s highest civilian award in a Special Investiture Ceremony on December 5, 2023 at President House in Islamabad.

On August 8, 2023, the President of Egypt, His Excellency Abd al-Fattah El Sisi presented His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, with the ‘Nile Sash’, the third-highest civilian honour of the country in appreciation of his continuous efforts in cultural, charitable and social causes in Egypt.

On March 14, 2023, His Holiness was unanimously elected as the chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI), a historic seat of learning in the Indian capital, New Delhi, by members of the University’s court for a period of five years.

His Holiness was presented with the highest award in Kenya, the Chief of the Order of the Golden Heart on Jamhuri Day (December 12, 2022) by the President of Kenya, His Excellency Dr William S.Ruto in recognition of his numerous philanthropic contributions and his leadership role in fostering interfaith dialogue across the world.

His Holiness was presented the Key to Mahajanga by Mayor Tonganirina Zafiarinefo Velomary in the presence of the Home Minister and the Governor of Boeny during his visit to Madagascar on May 18, 2022. This was the very first time the city has conferred the honour to anyone.

On August 19, 2023, the Lord Mayor of Mwanza Honourable Sima Constantine Sima presented His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin with the ‘Key to the City’ in recognition of his dedication to fostering peace & advancing societal well-being.

The Mayor of Colombo, Ms Rosy Senanayake presents His Holiness with the Key to the City as a celebratory gesture for His Holiness’ 75th birthday on January 13, 2019.

In April 2015, as per the protocols and guidelines of the Aligarh Muslim University, His Holiness was elected the AMU chancellor with the greatest margin ever seen in an election. On the 2nd of December 2018, His Holiness was reelected for a second consecutive term as Chancellor.
