Inspired by the guidance of His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, Project Rise was established as a global philanthropic platform dedicated to assisting those in need, sustained through the philanthropy and volunteer efforts of the Dawoodi Bohra community. Project Rise is founded on the belief that global challenges — whether related to the environment, food and nutrition, water and sanitation, healthcare, or education — can only be addressed through collective, consistent, and collaborative efforts at the local level. As the name suggests, the platform aims to improve the living conditions of society’s underserved and vulnerable populations, while equipping them with the means and resources to rise in thought, capacity, and skill. It strives to foster a culture of empathy, awareness, and generosity within the Dawoodi Bohra community and the larger society. As of 2024, Project Rise has mobilised more than 20,000 volunteers who have participated in upwards of 2600 different philanthropic activities across nearly 400 cities. Collectively, Project Rise volunteers have positively impacted nearly 1.5 million lives around the world
