Dawoodi Bohras Distribute Food to Support Omani Families

The Arabian Stories

Members of the Dawoodi Bohra community in Muscat, in association with Dar Al Atta’a, celebrated World Food Day on October 16.

As part of the initiative, under the banner of Project Rise, Bohra volunteers distributed over 1.5 tons of food items to the needy.

A Project Rise volunteer said, ‘We’re happy to have played a part in providing food to the less fortunate among us. We look forward to collaborating with government bodies and social welfare organisations to collectively work towards supporting our fellow residents and Omanis.’

The Dawoodi Bohras have called Oman home for more than 50 years and have witnessed rapid developments in each of Oman’s socio-economic sectors. Community members have always sought out opportunities to further support welfare programs, and are grateful to Dar Al Atta’a for the uplifting work they continue to do.
