A community spokesperson stated that the drive is the brainchild of their spiritual leader His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin SahebTUS, who wishes to plant 2 lakh trees worldwide. Every tree will be tagged with a number and a barcode to identify its location.
“Information such as the date of plantation, type of tree and location, will be documented on a web portal so that we can track the entire plantation drive,” said the spokesman. He further added that, “The health of trees will be tracked in the future and action will be taken to take care of those which need attention.”
The initiative goes hand-in-hand with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a clean and green India.
The community is encouraging its members to participate by planting saplings. They intend to plant 5000 trees in Udaipur city.
Till date the community has planted 47192 all over globe according to data uploaded on their internal official website.
