Ujjain: With Simhastha Mahakumbh in its height of festivity, the Bohra community is setting an extraordinary example of communal harmony by offering medical facilities to devotees.
Najmi Charitable Trust and Saifee Ambulance Corp, Mumbai, run by the Bohra community have come forward to provide medical services to the pilgrims. They have started a 4-bed hospital at Juna Somvaria. The centre offers advanced medical facilities to the patients. A team of 20 doctors and trained paramedical staff have been pressed into service. Patients are given medicines free of cost.
Saifee Ambulance Corp has provided two well-equipped ambulances to the Mela premises. One is brought from Mumbai while the other is from Indore. The helpline number for Saifee Ambulance – Indore, is 7771007700. Social worker Murtaza Badwahwala said that the ambulances tour the whole area. The team also provides medical treatment to the patients at the ghats.
