Dawoodi Bohra community leader Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin stated during his visit to Chennai that preserving and protecting the environment is vital and appealed to the younger generation to keep their houses and neighbourhoods clean. He also counselled the community to remain law-abiding citizens, contributing wholeheartedly to the growth and development of the nation.
Syedna Saifuddin arrived in Chennai from Colombo on Thursday the 24th of March, and was received by minister of minorities welfare K S Masthan, HR&CE minister P K Sekar Babu and others. Hasan Kapi, the local representative of the community, said, ‘During his stay in Chennai, Syedna is interacting with community members and inquiring after their wellbeing. He presided over the ceremony of Rasme Saifee (mass marriage) at Burhani Masjid on Saturday.’
