The head of the Dawoodi Bohra Muslim community made a brief stopover in Sharjah on Saturday afternoon en route to Mumbai.
Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, the Sultan al-Bohra, was received by Members of the Protocol Department, officials of Sharjah Civil Aviation, diplomats, and Syedna Saifuddin’s representatives of the community in the UAE.
In a short address, Syedna Saifuddin advised the community to remain loyal and faithful to their country of residence, the UAE, and share the vision and ethos of its leadership. He guided them to work shoulder to shoulder with their Emirati brothers while contributing their talents and knowhow in nation building endeavours.
He prayed for their success and urged them to perform good deeds and actions. He also counseled them to help their fellow citizens and strive for their uplift and betterment in all spheres of life.
Syedna Saifuddin thanked the leaders of UAE and prayed for their well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the country. He also lauded their ambitious plans to make the UAE an ideal destination for work, entrepreneurship, education and life.
Syedna recalled earlier visits to Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi and expressed a desire to visit again and stay in the UAE for some time and meet citizens and community members in every emirate.
The community appreciated the support of Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Airport Authority, who facilitated Syedna Saifuddin’s reception at Sharjah International Airport.
