Surat: Mustafa Barodawala, 44, a member of the Dawoodi Bohra community in Surat, Gujarat, won a silver medal in an online archery competition organised by the Field Archery Association of India (FAAI). He secured second position in both senior and veteran categories.
Barodawala, a faculty member of Aljamea-Tus-Saifiyah, Surat, represented Gujarat in the online archery national event and successfully shot five arrows at a target in 3 minutes flat from a distance of 18 metres on the 2nd of January. The online archery competition was organised by the FAAI to keep enthusiasm alive among members of the archery community amid the pandemic as well as to promote the sport across the country. Held via Zoom, the tournament saw about 240 players participate from over 14 states.
