The Dawoodi Bohras of Calgary participated in the Coldest Night of the Year event for the second time on Saturday 22, 2020. The annual event is one of the biggest fundraisers for homeless shelters in North America. Community members supported The Mustard Seed homeless shelter through the efforts of a dedicated fundraising team working under the Project Rise umbrella.

The event which saw hundreds of locals come out in support of the cause resulted in substantial donations and gave people the opportunity to interact and engage in dialogue.

Braving the bitter winter winds and extreme temperatures, volunteers walked between two to ten kilometers in order to experience what it would feel like to be homeless under such conditions.
