Burhani Foundation India along with Project Rise sponsored a marathon organised by Orange City Runners on Sunday 8th December, 2019. The marathon started and terminated at St Ursula Girls High School Ground, Civil Lines, Nagpur. Proceeds from the marathon were donated to the National Cancer Institute, Nagpur for cancer prevention and treatment.

More than 4500 nagpurians registered for the marathon surpassing the preliminary estimated count of 4000 participants. Those who could not be accommodated in the main marathon were enrolled in a fun run. The marathon was divided into 3 categories, 21 km where about 350 participated, 10 km where about 875 participated and 5 km, where the rest took part.

Community members representing BFI and Project Rise were called upon to flag off the 5 km race in which more than 150 community members took part to support the cause.
