To commemorate the Holy month of Ramadan and underscore the importance of good health in leading a wholesome, a free multi-speciality medical camp was jointly organised by Dawoodi Bohra community members in Sharjah and Thumbay Hospital. The event took place at Burhani Masjid, Sharjah on Friday the 26th of April.
Over 155 people from various cultures, religions and backgrounds were screened by doctors while consultation was provided to them in a wide variety of fields including Orthopedics, Gynecology, Dermatology, ENT, Dental, Pediatric and General medicine.
Thumbay Hospital management pledged to provide concessional treatment to those patients who were diagnosed in the camp as part of its corporate social responsibility.
The current camp organised under the community’s broader Project Rise initiative, is envisioned as one in a series of such camps aimed at generating greater awareness about prevalent medical conditions and providing free and highly subsidised treatments and medication to as many people as possible.
