Rawdat al Quran students bring relief to public in Mumbai ATM queues
Students aged 7-10 years stepped out of their classes on Tuesday 15th November to bring a little relief to the long queues of people waiting to use ATMs in Mumbai.
The central government decided to withdraw 500 and 1000 Rupee notes overnight last week in an attempt to stamp out ‘black market money’. For the general public, however, this has meant waiting in long lines snaking around banks and ATMs around the country in order to withdraw money in other denominations.
This effort by the children was an impromptu wish to make the pain of waiting just a little less unbearable for a few of them.
